About

Located in north Lambton County along the shores of Lake Huron, Lambton Shores is made up of a mix of rural and urban communities, including the town of Forest and villages of Thedford, Arkona and Grand Bend.  Tourism and agriculture make up a good portion of the area’s economy.

Lambton Shores is a picturesque community with its wonderful sandy beaches, harbours and marinas, rare Oak Savannah Forest, Rock Glen Fall, the Pinery Provincial Park, conservation areas, golf course and quaint areas that all draw tens of thousands of visitors.

The southern part of Lambton Shores (Forest) is major service centre for the surrounding community, as well as a central commercial area and home to a cluster of industrial manufacturing companies.  In the north, agriculture and tourism are the focus of economic activity.  The muck-soil areas near Grand Bend, Bosanquet and Thedford grow speciality crops such as potatoes, celery and cooking onions as well as traditional filed crops such as corn, soybeans and winter wheat.

Visitors and residents alike enjoy the 50 kilometres (31 miles) of wide sandy beaches including Grand Bend’s internationally recognized Blue Flag designated beach and marinas.  A legendary sunset and a warm campfire are perfect ways to round out a summer day in Lambton Shores.
