My Community Notification Network

My Community Notification Network (MyCNN) is a local emergency alerting system that, during emergencies, can be used to notify residents with publicly listed land-line telephones.  Residents will typically receive alerts for tornado warnings, drinking water emergencies, shelter-in-place advisories, evacuation advisories and missing children.

Not everyone has a land-line telephone and telephone directories are not always complete or current.  Therefore, in order to be certain that you will receive emergency alerts, you have the option of subscribing to MyCNN, allowing you to choose to be notified through additional communications methods such as cell phone, email and text messages.  As a subscriber, you can also choose to receive notifications about non-emergency events that affect your home, workplace, school and more.

There is no cost to subscribe – the CAER organization has funded the system and made it available for local public alerting.  All alert messages are sent by municipal, County or emergency officials.

In order to receive MyCNN notifications, you will need to visit the CAER website to create an account.  Subscriber information is not managed by the CAER organization and the information you provide will not be shared with other agencies by municipal officials .  You can deactivate your account at any time by removing your contact information from your profile.  Please click on the “Get Notified” button below to get started.
